Super Saturday
It would have been better had Clare not been working but The two children and I headed over to Carbis Bay for the day.
We parked and as soon as the eldest realised we were on top of Carbis Bay Rail Station they headed off to St Ives, specifically the Tate, St Ives.
Joshua headed off to the RFU Referees tent on the beach and reported in ready for the tournaments start.
I grabbed an Atlantic Bay Hotel deckchair and plonked myself down where I could see both temporary pitches marked out by tape in the sand.
And so passed the day, hot and breezy, eldest getting more culture until returning to the beach for panini’s and coke, Joshua refereeing, sometimes six consecutive tag rugby matches, tiring.
Home for meatballs, spaghetti and garlic bread before heading out for a beer, only a quick one so as to be home when Muma arrived in from work.
Such great fun being with these two ‘youngsters’, they keep me young and make me proud.
