Turnstone

I have re-titiled this to Turnstone after Micro43's comment as I am sure he is correct.

I am not a bird photographer and mostly only recognise garden birds but I think this is a plover. I'm sure somebody will be able to tell my what type of plover it is.

This morning we drove to along the coast to Zumaia where the beach is perfect for finding interesting rock formations and photographing the rolling waves. We returned to Hondaribbia for lunch and more photography. The bird wasn't at all worried about people being close to it and stayed posing for me for quite some time. Today's extra is a panorama of the beach at Zumaia.
