Black gold

Spent most of the day pottering in the garden. We dug out one of the daleks (compost bin), always hugely satisfying. To think our food scraps are now glorious black rich soil, full of worms and goodness. It's like magic.

Planted some pots of courgettes and squash. Also went to the garden centre and bought a handful of plants, mostly herbs, for a herb garden by the patio.

How dear are plants! I'll be sticking to sowing seeds and propagation! Already made plans to raid some friends' gardens for cuttings....
