Hospital food

Christmas in hospital isn't so bad. We have spent the day with Rafi (Ian and Mum have also joined us) opening presents at times when he wakes up, and just chatting and 'chilling'. We had a cooked dinner provided by the hospital and the picture shows a bed covered in party food which has been provided for tea!
The staff are all dressed up and Santa visited this morning and gave Rafi a lava lamp which was very thoughtful of him.
I even managed a sneaky pint in the pub with Ian when we went for a walk to 'stretch our legs' !
Rafi has been fairly settled, and his high temperature seems to have improved over the day . When he is awake he has had times of being quite alert and managing to focus well. His drain has been leaking again, we are waiting to see if he may need a stitch to help deal it.
