It was my birthday today so Nellie of The Woods and I had a day out! First stop Mount Edgecombe to walk Oscar. On arrival we discovered it was The Green Man Festival and the place was heaving! No quiet walk along the beach or stroll through the grounds! Oscar was very well behaved and Nellie got the full experience of being out with Oscar! Constantly being stopped and asked about him! We headed to the cafe and I looked at the vintage pieces from the household in the courtyard whilst she went in a rather nice shop! When she came out she found me infront of the bath chair with a circle of people around me all asking about Oscar! On the way out I noticed the human shrubs! The male shrub came over to ask about Oscar - luckily Oscar didn't pee against him!
Next stop were some Art Studios in the village of Downderry by the sea. Serious money needed to live there! The houses were huge, the art gorgeous and the views - well you can see what the end of one garden looked like from the blip - private steps down to the beach!
I may have bought a chicken etching with collage from a 1949 newspaper!
Next stop was Seaton for a fish late lunch early supper! The sea was a gorgeous colour!
Upon arriving home I found a present and some flowers ( Stocks)  on my doorstep! I had already recieved a huge bunch of lilies from Vegan Jo in the morning so my downstairs smells lovely and not so much of Oscar!  I phoned my sister to thank her for her present and then  baked a marmalade cake for the event Nellie and Barry had organised in the village Sunday - then I collapsed with tiredness! But what a lovely day I had, perfect weather, company and sights and no anxiety or funny tummy!
Just a  few more photos here!
