Headlam Hall

We were both very tired today..we got hooked on the TV drama ‘Summer Of Rockets’ and having watched episodes 1 and 2 on Friday, we binge watched episodes 3 to 6 ( the last one was double length) last night...it was the wee small hours before we finished. Sadly I still woke around 5:30 a.m.

Operation ‘Move Mother In Law’ began in earnest this weekend. Mrs madwill’s sister has been up to Darlington and began sorting through cupboards and drawers and also sold the car. Several car loads have gone to the tip and several to charity shops. We went up today and loaded up my car with dozens of puzzles and games and ‘craft stuff’ - sewing machine, knitting wool, sewing stuff, tapestry frames and kits. The craft stuff will go to a group that Mrs madwill knows, which provides stuff for refugees to use. The games we will sort through and keep useful ones here for grandchildren to use. The rest will go to charity. We also came back with four bottles of wine which were not required :-))

We went out for lunch at Headlam Hall Hotel which is pictured in my blip.

We will be going up again on Wednesday - the shed and garage will need emptying.

I may be opening on of our ‘acquired’ bottles of wine tonight.
