Crossing
Across to Ballachulish today to do a walk with friends and celebrate the leader's 70th birthday.
Unfortunately the weather wasn't in celebratory mood and it started off damp and ended up wet - so not many photos and not good light.
This was early on on our way to climb the hill in the background, a nice rocky ridge to the top, approached from the right. No view as the cloud had lowered.
Then a bit descent and re-ascent to the 2nd, slightly bigger, peak and a descent ove rather featureless land in thicker cloud but we ended up only slightly off course (after a very awkward stretch over tree brash).
The final down was through bluebell filled open areas, then woods, and with views of the loch's islands appearing in the mist. I've added an extra of these - misty from weather and misting up of the lens quicker than I could clean it!
We all then had a meal together, the others returned to their campsite, we drove home in the rain, stopping for a brew on the way, and home not long before midnight.
