Autumn

Today we drove home from our son’s place in Sydney. The journey is 200k across the Blue Mountains but not the usual tourist route which is familiar with anyone visiting. “The Bells Line of Road” ( It’s proper name) is a bit shorter and the traffic not heavy. Today was very quiet. When we left Sydney it was warm but starting to shower. By the time we stopped for morning tea in the mountains it was much colder.

Tomorrow we are going to the GP for an 8am appointment for flu vaccinations, then onto Cowra for a Friend’s Father’s funeral.

The autumn leaves are from one of my favourites trees, a white crepe myrtle. It’s lovely in all seasons, as it matures the bark is beautiful as well.
