145/365: River Brett, Hadleigh
I'd taken a wrong turning, the Garmin can occasionally be on the fickle side of navigators and as I stopped to check on the route, I heard a call which was familiar but not heard for a long time. Diverting from route finding, I called upon the Warblr app to reveal the call of the Song Thrush a bird like so many, sadly of demising fortunes and a pleasure to hear among the other sights and sounds of this beauty of a May morning. Rest over, it was time to complete the remainder of those 2-wheeled miles which by the end totalled the merest shade under 27 miles with 1024ft climbed.
Beloved's parents are in residence at home, arriving yesterday evening to look after Master H whilst we delivered the girls for a weekend away followed by evening out for us - more on that in a back-blip to come. Consequently we quickly agreed that it would be only right and proper to dine out at a local pub for lunch.
