Went for a swim and lunch in a royal atmosphere at a Lalitha Mahal Palace outside of town, The impressing white building in colonial style with the beautiful garden was built by the Maharaja of Mysore to host his guests. There was a beautiful soft light in the tiled corridors with the arabic inspired grids with a view to the palm trees and the birdcage. The buffet in a beautiful bluepainted hall was quite overpriced, but it was a worthy place to be for a christmas lunch.
