Red damselflies

I went to Brandon Marsh to pick up a hedgehog house as we have recently discovered that one visits our garden most nights. While I was there I thought I'd have a look at one of the pools where I have previously seen damselflies and dragonflies. I'd never successfully photographed them - two quick for me.

I wasn't disappointed. There were large numbers of them flitting around like flying needles, and basking on the leaves. A few were also reproducing, like these two here.
