Whanganui Inlet

If you want to go west from Golden Bay, this is about as far west as you can go and the trip is absolutely worth it. I get a pretty bad view from where I sit on The Boss's camera pak but when it comes out for action the views can be stunning and so it was today as we took off loaded with Christmas Dinner (ham rolls, fruit bars chocolate chip cookies and lemon meringue fudge topped off with chilled Coke Zero. Now I know what you are going to say about THAT but we happen to like this sort of thing and It travels well in a mini chilli bin so don't knock it. It was yum!
IN the middle of all this we walked to Wharariki beach on the West Coast and this is another "don't miss" event with stunning photographic opportunities as well.
We have just arrived back and had a nice nourishing bowl of strawberries and ice cream to finish the day off and I can hear The Bossess running the Spa Bath we have in our motel unit so soak time coming up.
They (not me) also copped a bit of sun on the beach so they look a bit red too.

This pic was taken looking out to the sea at Whanganui Inlet. The tide rips in and out of this gap and we were lucky enough to arrive just as it was thinking about ripping in.
