The Tall House

OK I’m into cleaning mode now.  Perfect day-   dark, grey, chilly, mizzly, windy - to work inside.   Spent a long time finishing cleaning the inside (can’t do outside when it’s raining)  windows, bath and kitchen of “The Tall House”…our guest cabin.      We built it tall for our family (also takes less footprint) but there are too many tall windows that require a ladder.  Of course now we know how we would build something a little different but that knowledge will go to waste because we will never build anything else.   :-)

So you get a blip of a corner that looks onto the screen porch ..can you appreciate some high windows and then SKYLIGHTS! on the porch..which are VERY high off the ground.    Those are a bear to wash.   Later.   But a delightful place to live.   The painting is my Dad in the canoe, Mom in the rowboat and me in my alden rowing shell.
