Loch Awe and Ben Cruachan
It was another good day for hillwalking and our objective was Ben Cruachan and Stob Daimh. We parked by the station and made our way up through the woods and up to the dam before taking the normal route up Coire Dearg. I went on a detour to the Taynuilt Peak to see the view whilst N, M and S went to Ben Cruachan; N went back the same way and I caught S and M about a kilometre east of the summit. The blip is a panorama of the view from Drochaid Ghlas with Loch Awe and the top of Ben Cruachan and the Taynuilt Peak. The extra is a panorama looking north from Stob Daimh, the second Munro; Ben Starav is the prominent peak in the middle distance and the background shows the hills from Ben Nevis to the Mamores and Grey Corries. It was a good day.
Yesterday’s blip.
