orchard
I have always been very intrigued by orchards: the juxtaposition of something rigid and orderly with the wildness of nature. They are mysterious to me in a way and I have always wanted to photograph them, from all angles, within the rows, above them, outside them. This was the best I could do from the side of the road, behind a rusty barbed wire fence, in 38 degrees at 7:30 this morning, with another twelve hours of highway in our future. But I still like how my attempt came out. I don't see them much in my part of the world but some pecan groves exist on the stretch on I-10 close to the Arizona/New Mexico border. Leah's color version here.
