Evacuee

It’s was WWII day at school today for the year 3’s. To celebrate they all went to school in clothes from the era. There were evacuees, nurses, land girls and military personnel. Everyone looked fab in their costumes!

The whole year met early outside of school and we then had a walk around the village. All the children, teachers, parents and siblings...we were quite a spectacle! What fun!

I joked to P that she was really being evacuated as she went for a sleepover at a friends this evening straight from school. She said “see you tomorrow mum when the war is over!”
