Not very Christmassy

I know this is not very Christmassy but it is a shocker of a day here. Teeming with bucket loads of rain which is apparently just what my mother wanted for Christmas. I was planning some lovely Sydney lights but I feel that I am just not going to get anything else today. The big family do is shortly to begin where we eat and drink and the kids drive us silly. I took this insect which I suspect is some sort of a bee fly in between showers earlier today and if I take something more appropriate I will change this over. It is shot on an artichoke leaf and that is the flower in the background. In the meantime, Merry Christmas.
