May Flower

As it is a bank holiday weekend and the weather was forecast to be sunny, I decided to treat myself to a day off work.  It has been a day of two visits to the allotment to plant out some of my remaining vegetables and flowers.  Today more Swiss chard and spinach were put in, some camomile, marigolds and some kale.  Earlier in the week I planted out my French beans and runner beans, so my plot is now quite full.

This afternoon Merlin and I had a lovely long walk over the field, watching the birds and coming across this beautiful hawthorn loaded with flowers.
