Belgravia...
In bloom.
A busy day at school with B and I taking ‘Mr Haws’, our gardening club scarecrow, to Wisley to construct him in place for the half term. Mr Haws designed and patented the watering can 130 years ago. His ‘hands’ are a replica of that design and bear the Haws logo as the company is still going strong today. We also used roses from them for his eyes. Lavender for his hair, dinosaur watering cans for his feet and Mr Cs trousers. B and I had a cold drink in the cafe before heading back to school.
I shot home and had a quick shower as Rebecca and I were heading up to town to meet Simone and have a wander around Belgravia to look at all the lovely displays put up during Chelsea flower show week. We managed to pick up a map during our walk but some areas showing displays didn’t have any or we didn’t see them. But what we did see looked lovely and it was a warm, summers evening and very enjoyable. Most displays were artificial flowers but this florist displayed a mixture and the scent from the real flowers was delightful.
A few collage extras.
