tradition

after the heartbreaking news of yesterday my Christmas cheer needed to be rediscovered and Katy brought along her family for our annual Christmas Eve get together which was just lovely, we mostly stayed in at mine catching up while the girls ate gingerbread men and played made up games before heading out for a very short walk into the country park.

I then met friends in town for a baileys latte before getting some last minute bits before having a major clear up of the house before the arrival of my family. had a lovely Italian feast and reminicised about childhood trips to London to see Uncles before reclining and snoozing in front of Despicable Me. i'm told this is very good but I think I was too wiped out to enjoy it!
