Apricot Leaves

The big apricot tree, along with a lot of my deciduous trees, lost most of its leaves during the summer drought. Now the remainder are giving in to autumn.

My son and I cut a good amount of wood this afternoon. First he did some and then I did as much. I was pleased with my effort as the arthritis in my hands has worsened in the last year and I was afraid the chainsaw would be too much. I love my chainsaw, and cutting logs to stove length. We used the new bucking sawhorse my son has built. It’s a beauty, but takes a bit of getting used to. He readily agreed to making a small modification that made the job easier. The worst part of cutting wood is the stacking in the shed. My son did all that, bless him.
