Looking down

These are the sneakers that make me think of walking along the beach at Robin Hood's Bay in shorts and t-shirt looking for fossils; with no worries, no sadness.

There's my happy place right there and wearing these sneakers today reminded me when I looked down.

Life is very hard just now and my heart continues to be being filled with a deep sadness that's trying to push out everything good. It's taking all that I have not to let this take over.

Tomorrow Joe will have a nasal feeding tube fitted as he's literally starving and has no energy left or desire to do anything.

He's tried his hardest to eat but it's just not enough and thankfully he understands that this will have a positive impact and is therefore the best option we have. He's so brave and beautiful.
