Eeeny Meeny...

It was Ms H's first opportunity to vote in a UK election day. It's a shame it wasn't an election that will do what it says in the tin. Last week I spent some time helping her understand what was happening (she is attempting to follow it all) and how her vote will be used by the party she votes for and what sort of statement she can make by the way she votes. Given our MEPs could be "cancelled" at the drop of a hat, this vote has to count for something! It's not really a great introduction to UK politics, but I have a feeling it's only going to get more crazy.

Don't worry, I did give her a balanced view (in my view) and I already know where her leanings are, not dissimilar to most young people these days, and it helped her make her own decision.

Having said all that, there appeared to be only 2 parties prepared to make the effort to win our vote today... eeny meeny miny moe...
