Wide Wednesday : Caban Coch
An early start, to get up and get out on Morrigan to meet up with National Grid colleagues working and retired, on motorbikes! A ride up to Gloucester and thence to the Malverns and over to the Elan Valley where we stopped for lunch at the Caban Coch dam and visitor centre. No time to wander, and off we went again into the Brecon Beacons. Great fun and not even spoiled by the bee that flew into the tiny gap between my open face helmet and my goggles (See Sheol's infamous characterisation) and refused to come out for miles - until I prodded it and it stung me! A round trip of just over two hundred miles and back in time for... no, not tea, a council meeting! And so to bed.
