I should have known it was going to be a busy one when both the phone engineer and the food delivery turned up at the same time this morning. Which is more than can be said for the fencing people who didn't arrive at all.

Lots of spinning plates at work as well, with a call from the top man to 'JDI' something. Which is easy for him to say. Still, about 14 choreographed phone calls later it is now moving in the right direction.

The evening was WI, including my turn to make 30 rounds of sandwiches for a local charity we support, working with the town's homeless. The actual meeting was a split of business and practical science; extracting DNA from strawberries. It was surprisingly good fun.
