First on 7th

The face of Fort Worth has been changing.  Not that long ago, it was petroleum only.  Now most of the companies that were in the oil business have been merged into larger corporations and have moved away.  This has left many offices and even buildings sitting empty.  The Bank of America had been at their 7th Street location for many years.  The entire first floor had housed tellers and personal bankers.  Most of those services are done online.  The bank took over a more appropriate sized space in a better downtown location.

The old building is being entirely repurposed.  A grocery store/deli is taking over the first floor.  Hopefully, this concept will survive in downtown.  The store will be across from Burnett Park.  The park is celebrating its 100 year anniversary soon.  The statue reflecting in the window is one major feature of the park.  It is not 100 years old though.
