Christmas Eve
In a day that has seen a lot of preparation, largely of the culinary nature, I thought I would try for something a little different. Having managed to get most of the preparation completed and Mr B having finally finished on his 'quick' conference call we decided we definitely deserved a short trip to the local pub. Said pub also happened to be hosting a number of our good friends (and their children) which made it even more enjoyable.
The landlord always keeps a good fire going (perhaps a cunning plan on his part to encourage longer stays and more drinking....mmmm it works) so it seemed only right to try to capture it. Arguably it is not the best photo ever taken of a fire but I like it.
It should also be noted that my efforts to take a blippable picture were observed by one of the children and I am sure that he is now, more than ever, convinced that I am few crisps short of a full packet :-).
Anyway; Merry Christmas to anyone reading these ramblings, lets hope for a peaceful and jolly day tomorrow.
