Land of the Long White Cloud
Under the layer of cloud lies the top ridge of the Tararua Ranges. The Tararua' s run between the East Cape and Wellington parallel with the East coast. The Mitre Peacks, at a height of 1571 metres, are the highest two points and they get their names from their resemblance to a bishops mitre. Usually at this time of year, the top riges are covered in snow. Just not yet.
Thanks to BobsBlips for hosting Wide Wednesday - artistic.
