The fox and the hound
Watch out BHD the fox is going to squash you!
While having breakfast in Brockenhurst I overheard a man ask the cafe owner how to get to Beaulieu Motor Museum. As it was our destination for the day, we invited him to join us for breakfast and offered him a lift. He was really interesting to chat to, having lived and worked in many countries since leaving his native New Zealand 22 years ago.
Once at Beaulieu we rode the monorail to get the lie of the land, looked at the historic vehicles before falling in love with many of the fabulous sculptures scattered around the gardens. We took a break at the abbey then explored the house. The last thrill of the visit was a ride on a vintage bus.
We stopped off in a car park in the New Forest for a camp cooked dinner to avoid the rush hour. On the way back we made one final stop to watch the sunset at Bosham.
The dogs were pleased to see us. I’ve promised them I’ll stay home for a while and not disappear again after two trips away recently.
Martin has set up a Facebook page for BHD called “BHD and his marvellous adventures” if anyone would like to follow him.
