Sunset on Leith

The rain seems to have stopped. According to Mr PB, who is from The East, it never rains in Edinburgh and environs, but having left Dunoon in bright sunshine, we found ourselves dodging torrential showers when we arrived in Edinburgh.

I took the photo, looking along the Water of Leith towards the sea, after we’d come out from dinner in Tapa, my favourite tapas restaurant. It always comes as a surprise that we should be coming out into sunlight after dinner. The sunset sky was glorious and the light utterly theatrical.
