Diary of an Edinburgher

More pills...

The chaps who are measuring up for the new gas fire came to check the scene. Luckily, they arrived when barky Archie was out on the round the block walk with JR. But he made up for it when he came home. Boy, did he make up for it! Hopefully this will be done soon, then the room can be painted.

A different doctor (who is not on holiday) rang today to discuss my recent blood tests. The upshot was - I have some painkillers that I haven’t tried before. I think GPs don’t have time/can’t be bothered/want an easy life and don’t try to find out what is actually wrong, but just dish out pills... I’ll try them, and then see what my knee expert thinks after the bone scan next week. Also, I’m going to give osteopathy a go.

JR and Archie went for a big walk. It was a sunny afternoon and quite warm too. I had the excuse of the expected afternoon phone call, so watched the first episode about Brexit, when Cameron tried to get concessions from the EU (but failed). It was quite interesting, surpringly enough. I'll watch the next episodes too.
