A single tulip

I spotted this lone tulip in the churchyard and thought it looked rather good.  What was less good was the news that 12 tons of lead has been stolen off the church roof.  They took half one night, there was no police response, then they came back for the rest the next night.  The church is surrounded by houses and it must have taken them quite some time.  I hear today that the roof of a church in a neighbouring village suffered the same fate last night. The much reported trashing by vandals of the model railway exhibition happened nearby as well. I have to remind myself that there is, however, also much good in the world.
