Becky and Balsam Root

What a privilege to hike with my friend who knows the trails and flora of the Northwest. We made it along this lovely trail. When we stopped to paint a journal entry, the ticks quickly found us! At trails end we stripped off pretty much everything and there on the inside of my shirt, a small black tick! I sent it packing!
