It's raining. ...
....cats.
We left Chaing Mai mid morning. The drive to Chiang Rai was interesting. A new road is being built from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai. In Thailand they don't work on small sections, but have teams of builders all along. No lanes are fully closed, just small sections. This means that often you are driving on unmade road sections. Obviously you have to drive slowly. At about the halfway point we stopped for petrol and coffee. Just as we were finishing our coffee the heavens opened, as we didn't how long it would last for we made a dash for the car. As we pulled out of the carpark the rain stopped and the sun came back out. Having checked into our hotel we decided to go for a walk round. We saw a café where you can drink coffee (tea, soft drinks or beer), and pat a cat. Unfortunately there was no room in the cat section so we opted to just have coffee. As our coffee arrived so did the rain, torrential with thunder. We spotted these cats watching the rain.
