Mono Monday: Nature

I had several possibilities to use for the Mono Monday challenge of Nature, as we walked at Long Branch Farm this afternoon. We do a lot of local hiking at Cincinnati Nature Center’s Rowe Woods, and Long Branch Farm is another of their sites, in Goshen. The path runs for a while along a gurgling stream, and then we saw a lot of wildflowers and blossom, a lot of swallows, and a red-winged blackbird. I finally opted for this little insect on a white flowering bush. This location is relatively small, compared to Rowe Woods, and we had the place almost to ourselves. The morning had been spent chatting on the phone with Laura, who is counting down the days to the end of the school year (!), and then doing some clothes shopping for Roger, ahead of our departure for the UK on Sunday!
