Iris

Everything is coming to life in the garden. The purple bearded iris have done really well this year and there's lots of buds on the brown variety too.
Today E was on holiday from school and her mum due to start nights tonight so she came to us for the day so he mum could sleep a little. What fun a five and a half year old is!
We started the day shopping and bought two books from the charity shop, ladybird type histories of Mary Queen of Scots and Bonnie Prince Charlie. Both of which she has thoroughly enjoyed.
We then went into the garden and planted up the potato bags, sorting and counting and sharing so each had the same number.
Back into the house and out came the playdough and some of the bits of complicated equipment from when her aunty used to play with it. A fun day - tomorrow it's her sister's turn to be with us.... I'm off to their house overnight tonight for a sleepover!
