As for the Tories' one, to say it smacks of desperation flatters it. Desperation to deflect voters away from Brexit.

In other news, my return to work after my holiday has been postponed by a day. The airline meal? The guesthouse breakfast? Who knows. 

Every cloud has a silver lining of course, so being confined to the house with quick access to the wee room when needed, I was able to make a big dent in the laundry and ironing.
