Flame of the Forest

A beautiful day of sunshine and blue skies.  A bit cooler today, only 27 degrees. 

A late start this morning, but there's been nothing planned for today, just a lazy day by the pool and hot tub.  I did venture out for a walk after lunch, and back to the pool.  Looking like a quiet night about the hotel too.  

My lunchtime walk took me along the usual route, and started with the everyday hill climb up from the hotel.  Half way up the hill, there's this beautiful Flame of the Forest tree, with it's striking red flowers.  I would love to have one back home in my garden, and may have to look into growing one :)  Taken along the promenade, Playa Del Ingles, Gran Canaria.
