Traditions

Today we made our traditional visit to Southwold. We did our traditional walk along the beach (at least as far as we could - the tide was higher than we’d ever seen it) then had our tradition wander on the pier, including a cup of coffee. We then went into town and did our traditional tour of the shops, followed by lunch. A more recent tradition is to call in at Hen Reedbeds nature reserve on our way home. We heard a cuckoo and spotted a heronry but apart from huge numbers of Swallows feeding over the reeds, there wasn’t a lot to see.
