Peek-a-boo!

A visit to Castle Espie this lunchtime, and a walk in the nature reserve, this swallow seemed to be feeding something in the nest. We watched him/her for some time! This was in the Crannog, a reconstruction of an iron age building (I think!), and we were there for a little while, (a) because we were watching the swallow, and (b) because it was raining! There was a heavy shower, and we decided to wait it out in the Crannog.
We did see the first of the black-headed gull chicks - the gulls were as raucous as ever :-)
