Had the family gang over for dinner. 

A great afternoon and evening catching up, especially with Kenny's mum Ishbel who we haven't seen since her 90th birthday back in October.  It's even longer since Alan saw her last and he was ecstatic when she arrived.  She was completely taken aback but delighted by his reaction and we reminded her that a few years ago he slept with a photo of her underneath his pillow for over a year.  She's the last "gran" standing and I think he sees her as a link to both his grans and his great gran.  

Of course the star of the day was this little smiler.  Amazing how this time last year she wasn't born, yet now it's as if she's always been here.  

She is the smiliest baby I have ever seen!  She just doesn't stop smiling, and giggling and waving.  She only stops smiling to blow raspberries!  :-))

After amusing us all while we had coffee, she then went for a swim (see extras) where the smiling continued.  She has no fear of the water and when on her front, her little legs kick like a frogs.  

Nikki goes back to work full time next week so Ele will be looking after Esme on a Tuesday and a Wednesday.  That means there will be two ladies and a little lady who lunch ;-))
