up on the moor, deserted for forty years or more. Had the whole area to myself this morning, apart from Lapwings, Curlew, Skylarks ,Sedge Warblers, Wrens and Stonechats (extra) and what an symphony of song! Perhaps even a chorale!
A Mountain Hare bounded off, camouflaged because he is mostly brownish now apart from back feet and tail.
