Canary Bird

When Mum worked as an assistant at a local primary school well over 40 years ago, one of the teachers gave her a cutting from a rose bush she had. It didn’t take, but she liked the rose variety and found a small young plant at a local nursery.

She planted it next to the front gate, and it has prospered. Well over a hundred flowers, it’s a gorgeous sight every year. Mum and Dad cannot garden now, but no matter - lots of their plants quite happily look after themselves.
