Red lights

Very close to our village, the work on a block of houses has started. These so-called “wisselwoningen” (swap houses?) are meant for inhabitants of our village who have to leave their homes for a while because their homes are to be reinforced or, in some cases, demolished. The latter is the case for our house and we will be part of the first group to live in these temporary homes. Can’t say that I’m looking forward to this, but at least it seems something is finally going to happen.

The permit for building the temporary houses has not been granted yet and some people have filed formal objections to (the location of) the houses, so no work can be done that cannot be undone. Some work on the roadside is ok apparently. For that, the road is partially obstructed and that’s what these traffic lights are for.
