Snack time!

Today was a beautiful day - I was driving around in the car with the sun roof open, and went walking at Sharon Woods without a jacket! I think Spring is on the way. Oh I know it's going to cool off again after tomorrow, but at least the cold spells are getting shorter! I myself didnt see much bird life today, (although one lady I passed said she'd just seen a hawk in a tree, and another guy asked me if I'd seen the pileated woodpecker!), but this squirrel seemed too intent on eating to be too much bothered by my clicking away, so I got several good shots of him.

First day of Lent today, so we were out at our church's Ash Wednesday service. We were singing a beautiful anthem, accompanied by piano and oboe. It seemed a shame really to be singing it just once at a poorly attended service, rather than on a Sunday morning when we sing at two services.
