2019 Friday — Grandkids

We thoroughly enjoyed having dinner this evening with our granddaughter Ashly and her hubby Robert. Ashly is our first grandchild. She changed our title to “grandparents” way back in September 1988 and our lives have never been the same. Having grandkids has been one of the best blessings of our lives. We were too young to have grandkids, but we were too young when we got married at 15 and 19 way back in 1965.

Ash & Robert are expecting their first baby in about four weeks — a boy. He will be our fourth great-grandbaby.

Ashly is finishing her first term as a school teacher of special edu high school kids in a district just east of Los Angeles. She told me she will begin working on her master’s degree this coming autumn. She is very ambitious.
