Christmas Eve- Crickhowell
My old home town in Wales has re- invented itself for the 21st century.
There are no empty shops and hardly
any property for sale.
The town is a curious mixture of the old - original people born and bred in area - and the incomers . These are divided between several groups - those who have moved there and work locally those who have retired to the area because of its quaint picturesque quality and and the " weekenders" with second homes.
Shops which once serviced the local community now cater for the upmarket and expensive tastes of the "weekenders" while the locals go to the nearby supermarkets.
And everybody is happy.
