Chillies

For my birthday, the Minx's mum gave me six little chilli plants. It was good present - thoughtful and amusing - but also a potential death sentence for the half-dozen innocent seedlings. (With hindsight, it would have been more useful for me as a life skill if we'd been taught plant care at school instead of, say, Geography.)

Thankfully, the Minx took a hand and repotted the little fellows, which now live on the window sill in the utility room, enjoying the unusual amount of Cumbrian sun that we're experiencing at the moment. For the last couple of days, however, we've been taking them outside for 'a treat'.

So here they are, on the deck, enjoying the breeze and the sunshine. (I was feeling great, too, having managed to get up in time for a 6am swim before a Trust meeting at school.)
