Copper Worker

We took an overnight trip to Morelia to get some shopping done at Home Depot and Costco. On the way, we stopped in at Santa Clara del Cobre to buy a copper sink for one of the apartments my wife is remodeling. We didn't buy the sink at this particular shop, but we did purchase other items and I got a lesson in copper work. This man spends up to five days working on a single one of these pots - firing a half dozen at a time (shown here) then hammering the heated copper into shape before repeating again and again. Made us appreciate the finished product all the more.
