A buzzing bee on our borage
I saw a hoverfly out in the garden which made me collect my camera. I like the discipline (if that is the right concept) of trying to record them in flight. By the time I got there, some minutes later all trace of it was gone.
I stood looking out over the very overgrown patch which used to be a lawn and raised bed. Nature has got the3 better of it and me, but the good part of it is the abundance of wildlife that this has encouraged.
The borage has self seeded in several places but the original; plant is now enormous and magnificent. Several bees seemed to agree as they were inspecting the flowers relentlessly. I decided that a hovering bee was as good as a hoverfly.
